A unique model of the skeleton based on the principle of biotensegrity

A Functional skeleton model originally developed by Yuri Fedin, skilled craftsman and certified Somatic Educator.

A distinctive feature is the author's patented bandaging system in a biotensegrity way (the attachment points of the bungee cords mimic the attachment points of the muscles) spine, jaw and hyoid, ribcage and sternum, shoulder girdle, wrists, pelvic girdle, knees, and ankles.

Through special bandaging of the spine, it became possible to reach natural mobility, as well as the ability to hang the skeleton on the stand, so that the load from the weight of the skeleton did not lead to deformation of the plastic material.

Unique "restored" mobility of the sternum (joint between the handle of the sternum (manubrium) and the body of the sternum (corpus sterni), joints between the bone and cartilage tissue of the ribs, as well as joints of the ribs adjacent to the sternum. Flexible assembly of all other joints (including remodeled coccyx).

The design allows you to perform movements in a nearly lifelike way enabling differentiated joint movements as well as complex movement sequences linking the spine, skull, limbs, and the whole skeleton.

- Life-size natural casting skeleton (reproduction from the specially selected natural human skeleton to ensure finest details of the bony surface) from a durable synthetic plastic material, that comply with all safety and basic standards in force in the EU and USA.

What are the dimensions of the package box?Dimensions of the box for "Rudy": 90 x 40 x 27 cm (35.5 x 15.5 x 10.5 inch), its weight is 12 kg (27 lbs).

Ordering

How can I buy this skeleton?You need to fill in an application form with contact details, delivery. After that, we will send you the information about the deadlines of manufacturing, the cost of delivery to your country and the bank details for making a deposit (If during the process of waiting for the order you will change your mind, we will refund the deposit in full). Before your order is due, we will send you a second invoice for payment and the third one before shipping.

Is there any way to make it cheaper?About half of the cost is the source materials and the other half is a very delicate and filigree full-time work for six weeks . When we started making functional skeletons, we took models made in China as donor skeletons to reduce the final cost of the product, but quickly abandoned them in favor of skeletons made in Germany, which cost several times more, but the quality of parts and the plastic itself is much better. And we did not want to compromise with quality.

Production timeline

If I order today, how long before I get it?Making one skeleton takes about 40 days plus about 10 days for delivery. But the final dates depend on the order queue.
That is, if we already have orders for 5 skeletons, the terms of production of your skeleton will be about 7 months plus time for delivery.

Is there any way to complete the order faster?So far, only in order of queue.

What policy in case of damage during shipping?We pack very carefully to reduce the risk of potential damage during delivery to zero. However, there is always a chance that something may happen during delivery or customs inspection. We handle such cases individually depending on the country of destination and the courier service used.

Do you have any distributors in other countries?These are single custom-made products, and as of October 2019, 9 such skeletons have been produced for customers from seven countries (Belarus, Germany, Israel, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, and Ukraine). So there are no representatives in other countries and in the near future, it will be unnecessary, as it will only increase the cost of the skeleton.

Materials and Warranties

What are the source materials used?As a result of working with different donors' skeletons, we have highlighted a model produced by Rüdiger Anatomie (in the United States, these skeletons are sold by Denoyer-Geppert as part of the Premier Series), in contrast to another companies, they are more anatomically accurate, and plastic material is more durable and more resistant to thermal and mechanical deformation. After the bones, the most important material is the bungee cords, which we also order from the best manufacturers in the U.S., as well as special clear elastic cords from Japan.

What if something breaks? What is the warranty?Initially, as a result of production, many operations are carried out to ensure the longevity of the product. For this purpose, each of the 600 holes is countersinked, sanded and polished both inside and outside. This is to ensure that the cords are not rubbed as a result of usage. All knots are glued in addition to being tightened tightly into the self-locking knots. All cord ends are fused.
We had functional skeletons from other manufacturers at our disposal, and not a single cord was broken during 8 years of active use within the context of workshops, seminars, and trainings.
